A New Hub for The Community
Our community in Forest Gate is growing, Alhamdulillah. However, our community provisions need to reflect the same. Embark on this journey to build a new Mosque and community hub.
Our new development is an ambitious £6m project that will become the centre of our community.
New Mosque
Our new mosque will have a capacity of 1400+ prayer spaces for the community allowing for a more comfortable and spacious prayer experience.
New school
Our new purpose-built school will be housed across three floors in the new development, kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment to help our pupils become high achievers.
multi-purpose hall
A new multi-purpose hall in the basement of our new building will allow events and private functions to be hosted there for the community, as well as doubling up for prayer space.
dedicated women's space
We want to ensure our sisters have a space to pray and also host their own activities, and this will all be possible in the new building.

Proposed Building Plans

Basement
The basement is a multipurpose community room with a wudu (ablution) area, a kitchen, a cycle store, and necessary infrastructure.
Ground floor
The ground floor of the Forest Gate Central Mosque includes our new mosque reception and main prayer hall with moveable partitions for flexible space use. It also houses a library and an overspill/school hall with a multipurpose design accommodating various activities.
First floor
This floor supports the mosque’s school, staff administration, and religious leadership activities.
second floor
This floor also features an open library area, further supporting the academic activities within the mosque.
third floor
The third floor of the Forest Gate Central Mosque is dedicated to further educational activities, featuring a classroom designed for 30 pupils, complete with modern teaching tools such as a smartboard.
fourth floor
The fourth floor is designed with sustainability, featuring extensive photovoltaic panels laid flat across the roof to harness solar energy. This floor also includes a dome plant room, suggesting a focus on green energy and the necessary infrastructure to support the building’s operations.
